Answer: 42
6 × 7 = 42, so 42 is a multiple of 6.
Which of these numbers is NOT a multiple of 4?
Answer: 22
4 × 5 = 20 and 4 × 6 = 24, so 22 is not in the 4 times table.
What is the 5th multiple of 8?
Answer: 40
5 × 8 = 40.
Which of these numbers is a multiple of both 2 and 5?
Answer: 20
20 is even, so it is a multiple of 2, and it ends in 0, so it is a multiple of 5.
9 × ? = 63
Answer: 7
63 ÷ 9 = 7, and 9 × 7 = 63.
How many 6s make 54?
Answer: 9
54 ÷ 6 = 9, so nine 6s make 54.
Which of these numbers is a multiple of 10?
Answer: 150
Every multiple of 10 ends in 0, and 10 × 15 = 150.
How many multiples of 3 are there between 10 and 20?
Answer: 3
Between 10 and 20 the multiples of 3 are 12, 15 and 18 — three of them.
What is the smallest multiple of 7 that is greater than 50?
Answer: 56
7 × 7 = 49, which is too small, and 7 × 8 = 56, the first one over 50.
