Answer: 15 45
For p.m. times, add 12 to the hour: 3 + 12 = 15, giving 15 45.

Answer: 8.20 a.m.
08 20 is before noon, so it is 8.20 a.m.
A train left at 13 50 and arrived at 16 25. How long was the journey?
Answer: 2 h 35 min
13 50 to 16 00 is 2 h 10 min, then 25 min more: 2 h 35 min.
A concert started at 19 40 and lasted 2 h 25 min. What time did it end?
Answer: 22 05
2 h after 19 40 is 21 40, then 25 min more gives 22 05.
How many minutes are there in 4 hours and 35 minutes?
Answer: 275
4 × 60 = 240 minutes, and 240 + 35 = 275 minutes.
