What's in our free test papers

Every paper here is a real school exam: a weighted assessment or end-of-year exam set by a Singapore primary school for its own students, scanned and listed by level, subject, exam type, school and year. There are 2,299 papers from 28 schools, covering 2019 to 2025. The schools include Ai Tong, Henry Park, Nanyang, Raffles Girls', Rosyth, Tao Nan and Catholic High, so you can compare how different schools set questions on the same topic.

All of it is free. There is no account to create, no download limit and no advertising. Each paper has its own page where you can read it in the browser before deciding to download, which saves printing a paper only to find it is the wrong level or a topic your child has not covered yet.

These are school papers, not the PSLE itself. The PSLE is set by SEAB, the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, and its papers are not on this site; our page on SEAB past year papers explains the difference and where official papers come from.

Free test papers by level

Pick the level first. Each collection below lists every paper for that year of school, newest first, and lets you narrow it by subject, exam type or school.

Primary 2 exam papers

74 papers · 18 schools · 2019

Lower-primary papers are short and mostly test careful reading and neat working. Use them to get a child used to sitting a whole paper.

Primary 3 exam papers

559 papers · 25 schools · 2019 to 2024

Primary 3 is the first year with Science, and for many children the first full-length school exam. Start with one subject at a time.

Primary 4 exam papers

597 papers · 24 schools · 2019 to 2024

Primary 4 brings longer Maths problem sums and more open-ended Science questions. Timed practice starts to matter here.

Primary 5 exam papers

559 papers · 21 schools · 2019 to 2024

Primary 5 Maths moves on to ratio, percentage and rate, and Science answers need precise keywords. Most families step up practice this year.

Primary 6 exam papers

510 papers · 23 schools · 2019 to 2025

Primary 6 school papers are the closest practice to the PSLE. Use them for full timed rehearsals in the months before the exam.

For a revision plan built around these papers, see PSLE papers.

Free test papers by subject

The same school sets a separate paper for each subject, and each subject rewards a different kind of practice. Open the subject collection to see every level together, then filter down.

WA, SA1, SA2, prelim and practice papers explained

Singapore primary schools label their exams by when they happen in the year. The label tells you how long the paper is and how much of the syllabus it covers, which matters when you choose what to practise. Each paper here is filed under the label printed on its cover.

WA
Weighted assessments: shorter papers set during the year, each on the topics taught in the weeks before it. Schools number them WA1 to WA3 (some call them a termly or bite-sized assessment). Good for checking one block of work.
SA1
The mid-year exam. MOE removed mid-year exams from primary schools in stages, so most SA1 papers here are from 2019 to 2022. They are still useful practice for the first half of the syllabus.
SA2
The end-of-year exam, covering the whole year's work, and the closest thing to a full exam rehearsal for P3 to P5.
Prelim
Primary 6 students sit the PSLE instead of a school end-of-year exam, so schools set a preliminary exam a few weeks before it, in the PSLE format. The best papers for timed P6 practice.
Practice papers
Term reviews, class tests, revision worksheets and mock papers. They are not graded school exams, but they cover the same topics.

How to use test papers for revision

A paper only helps if it shows you something you did not already know. The routine below is what most tutors and parents settle on.

  1. Match the paper to what has been taught. Early in the year, a WA paper on recent topics is fairer than a full SA2. Read the paper online first and skip ones built on topics not yet covered.
  2. Time it like the real thing. Use the time printed on the cover, a quiet table and no help. Stop when time is up and mark where your child got to, so you can see whether speed or understanding is the problem.
  3. Mark it, then sort the mistakes. Check answers against the answer key if the paper has one, or work through them with your child. Then group each mistake: a careless slip, a misread question, a missing keyword, or a topic that is not secure yet.
  4. Fix the topic, not the paper. Redoing the same paper tests memory. Instead, read the topic explainer or do a short practice set on the weak topic in Topics, then try a paper from a different school.
  5. Space the papers out. One full paper a week per subject, with time for corrections in between, does more than three in a weekend. In the last weeks before an exam, switch to full SA2 papers under timed conditions.
